When, at long last, the road comes to an end and we lift our head to see the glories ahead, the waterfall sparkling with the light of heaven, the gentle mist of angel tears dotting our face, the warmth of sheer joy that penetrates deeply under our old and tired skin and all the creatures of the world stand beside us to gaze upon the wonder of all creation, then we know as we always have that this life we have been living is but a moment, a mere reflection of what eternal bliss lies ahead. While we live on earth, we can catch glimpses of these glories: in a child's laugh, from a cat's purr, the flash of green as the sun sets on the ocean, the memory of a loved one's kiss. It is such a great honor to live a full life. If we spend our time helping others and sharing ourselves, then we'll know the full joy and peace of what comes next. Dearest Aunt Ginny is standing on the precipice, looking back at us with deep affection and looking beyond at the divine peace that lies ahead. I pray that God will lift her up, hold her tightly and carry her proudly to that home where we will all meet again someday. May she know, fully know, how much she is loved and carry the warmth of that love with her. Someday, when we cross over, we will find her by her radiant smile, still joyful, still full of wonder with her arms stretched open in love, just as ours are for her today. God bless Aunt Ginny! Give her all the love she so richly deserves! And God bless us that we can carry her in our heart all the days of our lives until we meet again in an even better place. I know that Aunt Ginny will stay in your heart, Kenny, watch over you, remind you of all the family stories and she will definitely keep the stove warm waiting for our next reunion.
