William John Dombrowski, 80, of Brookville, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Penn Highlands DuBois. He was born in Erie on November 11, 1942, a son of the late John Joseph Dombrowski and Helen (Skarupski) Dombrowsk. Mr. Dombrowski was a United States Air Force veteran that faithfully served his country for twenty-five years.William worked as a DEA investigator for many years, his career also expanded into the Liquor Control Board. He wore many hats following his retirement, his last job was delivering parts for the local NAPA store. He was not one to sit still. He loved to help his neighbors and friends with anything that needed to be done, often at his own suggestion. Staying active and busy was what he looked forward to. Above all, Bill was a very good friend to many people and was greatly thought of and appreciated in return.Raising Beagles was his passion, he ran his Beagles every day and took wonderful care of them. He loved to go hunting with his favorite girl Stella. He was the Vice President of the Bear Town Beagle Club.Bill loved to hunt and was proud of the eight-point buck that he just got in archery season.He is survived by two children, Jason Dombrowski of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Jessica Halfast of Erie.Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Dombrowski and a sister, Barbara Zautner.In accordance with his wishes there will be visitation or services. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
