William “Bill” Dale Dixon, 54, of Stump Creek, passed away at home on Friday, February 2, 2024.
He was born in DuBois, a son of Dale Thomas Dixon and Jane Louise (Smith) Dixon. His parents survive and reside in Luthersburg.
He was 1987 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
On April 23, 1994, he married his sweetheart, Michelle “Shelly” Lee Butler. She survives and resides in Stump Creek.
Bill worked as a construction worker for various companies including Glen O. Hawbaker, Francis J. Palo, Inc., and Randy Keller.
He was a member of the Sons of the Sykesville American Legion, the Sykesville Eagles and the “Big O”.
Bill always thought of others before himself, to know him was to love him. His biggest enjoyment was his grandsons, they were his life and he had big plans for them once he was feeling better.
He also enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two children, Morgan (Dillon) Teeter of DuBois, and Jonathon Dixon and Alli Ishman of Florida; two grandchildren, Conor and Sean Teeter; two brothers, Timothy (Michelle Radaker) Dixon of Luthersburg and Michael (Sandi) Dixon of Big Run; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
Memorial donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Hahne Cancer Center.
