Vickie Lynn Elliott

Vickie Lynn Elliott, 60, of Punxsutawney died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Mulberry Square Eldercare.

She was born on October 27, 1958 in Bridgeton, New Jersey a daughter of the late Veolin “Bill” and Shirley Ann (Sherwood) Elliott.

Vickie has spent the last twenty-five years of her life with her domestic partner, Douglas Roy Miller.  He survives and resides in Punxsutawney.

Vickie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mulberry Square Eldercare for the past twenty-two years.  It was her calling to provide care to those who were unable to care for themselves.

She led a simple life which consisted of working, being outdoors, going fishing and spending time with her family and her dogs.

In addition to Doug Miller, she is survived by six children, Randy Shank, Justin Shank, Derek Shank, Destiny Shank, Steven Miller and Bradley Miller, all of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Three brothers, Jeff Elliott of McGees Mills, Joe Elliott and wife Lorrie of Leechburg, and Bill Elliott of DuBois; two sisters, Nancy Elliott and Betty Elliott, both of Florida.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lisa Bair.

In accordance to Vickie’s wishes there will be no visitation.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc.
