Velma Jane Huntington, 78, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, April 01, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver.
She was born in DuBois on March 26, 1946, a daughter of the late Herbert Farrell and June (Limrick) Farrell.
In 1983, she married William Lee Huntington. He survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Retired, Jane formerly worked at Rola Jensen, DuBois Nursing Home and at Peace’s Personal Care Home.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Joseph Huntington, William “Billy” Huntington, and Joshua Huntington and wife Elverta, all of Texas; two stepchildren, Patricia (Patrick) Reitz, and Randy (Tracy) Huntington, all of Reynoldsville; ten grandchildren, Shawn Kniseley, Tonya Kniseley, Brock Huntington, Maliki Huntington, Brantly Huntington, Joshua Huntington, Jr., Brody Huntington, Randy Huntington, Jr., Derick Huntington and Andrew Weaver; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Yingling , and Donna Richards, both of Brookville.
Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol Long and Rose Roseman; three grandchildren, Billie Kniseley, Joseph Huntington and Cameron Huntington.
Friends will be received from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 06, 2024, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Joe Buterbaugh.
Interment will follow at Reynoldsville Cemetery.
