Timothy Grantz Obituary

Timothy Lee Grantz, 58, of Punxsutawney, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2021, at home.

He was born in Indiana, PA, on September 27, 1963, a son of the late Wesley Vernon Grantz and Joann E. (Kitchen) Grantz.

Tim was married to Jessica Sutter. She preceded him in death in 2007. Tim was a family man and did all he could to provide.

He worked in tree service for many years until he was injured in a work-related accident. Tim enjoyed being outside and liked to help his neighbors with mowing the grass or shoveling snow. He would stop what he was doing to give anyone a hand. He had a comical sense of humor and liked to tease his kids, grandkids  and siblings.

He previously enjoyed hunting and fishing. He most recently enjoyed spending time with his two dogs, who were his best friends, Cody and Dylan.

Tim loved his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by four children, Kelly M. Spade and Jay Bodenhorn of Rossiter, Anthony Spader, and Aaron Spader both of Covode and Kyle Sutter of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren, Logan and Kayle Spade of Rossiter; one brother, Wesley Charles “Chuck” Grantz and wife Sue of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Susan Butterworth of Punxsutawney, and Becky Hockenberry and husband William of Punxsutawney.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, inc., Punxsutawney. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shumaker Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
