Thomas Dan Fetterman, Sr., 80, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home, surrounded by family.
He was born in Punxsutawney on August 25, 1943, a son of the late Russell Fetterman and Mary (Wolfe) Fetterman.
On February 14, 1973, he married his sweetheart, Donna Jean Lewis. She preceded him in death on September 4, 2019.
Dan worked for Advantage Trucking and worked as an over the road truck driver for many years. He loved driving truck and being on the road. He was also known by the locals as the” Frito Lay guy” who kept the shelves filled. He enjoyed working around people and made many friends over the years.
When he was not working, Dan enjoyed tinkering around his home, going to auctions and selling his collections at the Jonnet Flea Market in Blairsville. He enjoyed buying lottery tickets and loved spending time with his dog Frazier.
He is survived by four children, Tandra (Ralph) Banks of Cyclone, Melinda (Scott) Lewis of Hughesville, Thomas D. (Barb) Fetterman, Jr. of Punxsutawney, and Barbara Fetterman of Punxsutawney; seven grandchildren, Erin(George) Swanson, Steve (Alyson) Reed, Alexa (Morey) Longo, Noah (Mackenzie) Campbell, Austin Lewis, Keegan Gaston and Hannah (Frank) Cintineo; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Jim Fetterman of Bradford and Russell “Sonny” Fetterman of Brookville.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna and two sisters, Jean Vigilotti and Marcella Fetterman.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
