Thelma Jean Adams, 77, of Walston, passed away, February 21. 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 1, 1946, in Kittanning, the daughter of the late Clair Paul Glenn and Alma Ruth (Stivason) Glenn. On June 19, 1971, she married the love of her life Samuel Meigs Adams, who survives.
During Thelma’s career she worked at a variety of places including Rola, Fashon Bug, Bilo and Walmart. She retired from Kittanning Hospital in the dietary department.
She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Samuel Adams; a daughter, Jennifer McCall and her husband John of Clarion and a son, Shawn Adams of Walston; two grandchildren: Megan Troup and her husband Bill of Carrie, OK and Alicia Kanouff of Brockway; three great grandchildren: Finley Troup, Zaiden Troup and Mackston Troup; four sisters: Janet Grantz and her husband Gene of Delaware, Judy Kunkle of Ford City, Mary Sell of Sunnyside, and Margaret Pace and her husband Daniel of Castleberry, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Glenn and infant sister, Joann Glenn and a sister, Shirley Smith.
In accordance with Thelmas wishes there will be no service.
