Susie Ann Benitez

Susie Ann Benitez, 60, of Punxsutawney, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at West Penn Hospital.

She was born on March 14, 1962 in Regenburg, Germany the daughter of the late Jaime and Heidi (Riveria) Benitez.

Susie had worked for Safeway as a store manager.

She enjoyed reading mystery books, listening to country music and watching tv. But above all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Susie is survived by her four children: Donald A. Barger Jr. and his wife Kristen of San Angelo, TX, Brandi M. Geer and her fiancé Justin Lute of Mahaffey, Robert C. Barger of Pittsburgh and Danielle N. Smith and her husband Christopher Smith Sr. of New Florence, PA; 12 grandchildren and one on the way: Hailey, Alex, Trey, Destiny, Mia, Ecko, Havok, Mackenzie, Rebecca, Abagail, Christopher, Emma and Khaos; four sisters: Heidi, Velma, Brenda and Iris; two brothers: Pedro and Jaime; and her former husband, Donald A. Barger Sr. of Mahaffey.

Arrangements are entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
