Shelly Marie Fetterman

Shelly Marie Fetterman, 57, of Punxsutawney, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 26, 2021.

She was born in Brookville on May 02, 1964, a daughter of the late Stanley Dale Black and Carolyn Frances (Sloan) Black.

She was Catholic by faith.

Shelly was a 1983 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.

On March 05, 1982, she married the love of her life, Timothy Fetterman Sr., they enjoyed twenty-three years of marriage. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2005.

She was a homemaker that loved raising her children and caring for her husband and home.  Shelly gave all the good characteristics to her family, she was amazing, nurturing, patient, supportive and understanding.  She had a beautiful bond with her sister Diane, they spent a lot of time together and enjoyed each other’s company tremendously.

She was a member of the F.O.E. Punxsy.

Her enjoyments were her children and grandchildren, she looked forward to seeing them and spending precious time with them.  She also enjoyed watching old television shows like Happy Days, Mama’s Family, Mash and Big Brother.  When not watching television, she loved listening to Country music.

She is survived by three children, Ann Marie Shields and husband Cory of Martinez, Georgia, Timothy Fetterman Jr. and wife Angela of Altoona, and Frank Fetterman and Hannah Poole of Hephzibah, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Timothy Fetterman, Lucas Palovich, Issac Palovich, Evelyn Fetterman, Sheridan, Ocean, and Odin Shields; two sisters, Diane Black, and Sandy Black of Punxsutawney; one brother, Bob Black of Punxsutawney.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her dear husband Tim.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, July 30, 2021, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Doug Wolfe.

Private interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
