With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheila Marie Rowley, 62, of Marion Center. She passed away at Indiana Regional Medical Center on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
She was born on November 12, 1962, in Indiana, a daughter of Viola Pauline (McClinsey) Covatch of Rochester Mills and the late Leonard John Covatch.
Sheila attended Marion Center High School followed by the Elegance School of Beauty.
In 1989, she married Vernon Charles Rowley. He survives.
Sheila was a warrior in every sense, facing life’s challenges with grace and strength. Her passion in life was her family, she loved her children and grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and was always thinking of others and never herself.
She enjoyed cooking different things, gardening, music and dancing to her favorite songs. Her special hugs with a pat on the back will never be forgotten. Sheila will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Survived by her husband Vernon and five children, Alton (Mistan) Rowley of Florida, Rachel Rowley of Rimersburg, Cassandra (Chance) Hough of Florida, Kip Rowley of Texas and Andrew Rowley of Texas; nine grandchildren, Chance and Colton Hough, Genesis and Eden Rowley, Kiera, William and Maxwell Rankin, and Kaylee and Addie Spencer; three sisters, Cindy Covatch-Howell of Marion Center, Donna (Jeff) Helal of Texas, and Wanda (Bruce) Covatch-Mt Joy of Marchand; two brothers, Dennis (Donna) Covatch of Marion Center and Donald (Tracey) Covatch of Plumville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father Leonard J. Covatch, and brother Leonard E. Covatch.
In accordance with her wishes, arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
