Sarah May Bell, 87, of Big Run, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Mulberry Square Elder Care.
She was born in Stump Creek, on May 05, 1934, a daughter of the late Joe Welder and LuRue (Frantz) Welder.
Sarah was the wife of Roy Bell. He preceded her in death in 2002. Eugene Fyock was her companion, he survives and resides in Big Run.
She was a member of the Salvation Army.
Sarah was a genuine good person, she was always happy and had a heart of gold. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She had a kindness for animals and children, she was always doing something nice for them. She enjoyed baking and preparing homemade food for her family.
In addition to Eugene Fyock, she is survived by one son, John Welder and wife Paula of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, Jayden Welder, Savannah Welder, Hailey Schmidt, Jocelyn Schmidt, Shelby Schmidt; one great grandson, Theo Welder; one brother, Joe Welder and wife Jesse of DuBois; one half brother, George Frantz of Troutville; one sister, Ruth Smith of Punxsutawney.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
