Sara Louise Wineberg

Sara Louise Wineberg, 87, of Big Run, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Christ The King Manor.

She was born on August 25, 1934 in Turtle Creek, PA the daughter of the late Lester and Violet (Cromwell) Frieze. On October 3, 1953 she married Darrell Wilson Wineberg who preceded her in death on November 29, 2021.

Sara was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening especially her flowers planets. She will be remembered for her embroidery gifts she would make for family members and always being up for the challenge of trying out a new cookie recipe.

She is survived by a son, Robert Wineberg and his wife Lugene of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren: Corry Sprague and Alice Wineberg; three great grandchildren: Allison Wineberg, Cassidy Sprague and Wyatt Sprague.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sara was preceded in death by a son, Brian Wineberg and two brothers: Harry and Edward Frieze.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run. The family will receive friends from 9am until the hour of services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois.
