Sara Lynn Huey, 29, formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away unexpectedly in Johnstown on July 31, 2020.
She was born in DuBois on March 12, 1991.
Sara got her GED in 2009 after joining the National Guard in 2008, She served in the Guard and was honorably discharged in 2013.
She will be remembered as being an adventurous, strong-willed nature lover. Sara took pride in her love of animals and had a passion for horses.
Her hobbies included knitting, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, enjoying the company of her friends around a firepit, playing cornhole, collecting anything pickle related just for a giggle.
She leaves behind her mother, Eunice (Spader) Smith, two brothers, Justin Huey and Jaerdin Spader and wife Nicole; a niece, Danielle Spader and a nephew Johnathan Spader; an Uncle, Sandy Spader, an Aunt, Violet Burns and husband Matt; cousins, Aaron Spader, Mandi (Spader) Costic, and Anthony Spader; and many beloved friends and extended family.
Preceded in death by her stepfather, Mark Solinger, maternal grandmother, Betty LaRue Spader, and other beloved family members.
A private service will be held for family and close friends at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
