Rose Marie Cipolla, 88, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
She was born in Rossiter, PA on June 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Joseph Michael Cipolla, Sr. and Dolores Christine (Altimore) Cipolla.
Rose was a 1951 graduate of SSCD School.
She was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, where she also served as an usher.
She worked as a bank teller at Savings and Trust bank for many years, finally retiring in 1997. Rose was very professional and took great pride in her work with the bank. She shared her knowledge and skills with other organizations and contributed her talents when she was manager of the Punxsutawney Senior Center.
Rose loved being around people, although she herself was quiet and laid back. She enjoyed her neighbors over the years and enjoyed her recent home at Grace Place.
She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her twin sister, Delores Mayo and husband Ed of Winter Haven, Florida; sister, Patricia Ann Marino and husband Tito of Hillsdale; one brother, Joseph M. Cipolla, Jr. and wife Lou Ellen of Punxsutawney.
Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Angela Cipolla and Gloria Cook; two brothers, Anthony Cipolla and Dominic Cipolla.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.
Entombment will follow at the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
