Ronald Kriser Obituary

Ronald P. Kriser, 82, of Delancey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born in St Marys on September 19, 1942, a son of the late Arnold Kriser and Neva (Armstrong) Kriser Wolfgang.

Mr. Kriser was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

On June 24, 1967, he married Joanne Marie Kolson.  They enjoyed fifty-eight years together.  Joanne survives and resides in Delancey.

Ron worked at Hoffman Diamond Products for forty-four years prior to his retirement in 2007.

He was a man who loved to socialize and share a laugh with his buddies at the Eagles, Adrian Club, Polish Club or the Walston Club.  In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball and baseball. He never lost his interest in the sport and enjoyed watching his favorite teams play on television.

For many years the family and extended family had the tradition of going to the beach together, it was something he looked forward to each summer.  They all created wonderful memories and cherished the time spent with one another.

Ron also loved to do anything outdoors and enjoyed going hunting and fishing.

The highlight of his life was his granddaughter Kolsee, they were incredibly close and spent so much time together.  He also spoiled his dog Ozzy and took him for a ride daily to get chicken nuggets from Wendys.

In addition to Joanne, he is survived by one daughter, Shawnna Kriser of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren, Kolsee Perry and Keigan Mennetti; two brothers, Richard (Sally) Kriser of Georgia and James (Barbara) Wolfgang of North Carolina; two sisters, Donna (Richard) Hostelley of Virginia and Linda (Robert) Atkins of Virginia.

Preceded in death by his parents, and joyfully reunited with his daughter, Robyn (Kriser) Mennetti.
