Robin Elaine Dixon

Robin Elaine Dixon, 62, of Big Run, passed away at home with her family on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

She was born in Somers Point, New Jersey on July 30, 1958, a daughter of the late Peter Base and Elizabeth (Mason) Base.

On January 26, 1974 she married Walter T. Dixon, Sr.  He survives and resides in Big Run.

Robin was a wonderful homemaker that enjoyed being with her family.  Her home was open to everyone and was always a buzz with kids, grandchildren, extended family, relatives, and friends.  She and Walt welcomed everyone to their home.  Halloween was a favorite of Robin’s, she enjoyed decorating the house with awesome scary figures and sounds to get a scream from the trick or treaters each year.

She enjoyed boating and riding motorcycle with her husband and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two grandchildren, William Harmon of Big Run, and Shy-Ann Harman of Stump Creek; two great grandchildren, Madalyn and George Perry; one sister, Melissa Rubba.

Preceded in death by her parents, her three children, Joseph John Dixon, Walter Tyronne Dixon, Jr., and Terry Harmon; three brothers, James, Robert and Joseph Base.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Cliff Vos.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Big Run.
