Robert “Bud” William Poole, Jr., 59, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on Monday, May 24, 2021.
He was born in Punxsutawney on May 11, 1952, a son of the late Robert William Poole, Sr. and Shirley Jane (Clark) Poole.
“Bud” was a 1980 Graduate of Jeff Tech.
On September 25, 2001, he married the former Barbara Ann Craft. She survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
“Bud” worked as a truck driver and hauled a variety of things over the years, primarily logs and water. He was last employed with Multi Production Systems, Inc. of Indiana. He was a hard worker and took pride in doing a good job for everyone he worked for.
He was a loving husband, father and a proud PaPa. Spending time with his family and particularly the grandkids brought him much joy. He like to go camping, riding the side by side and being surrounded by his loved ones. “Bud” was generous and would give the proverbial “shirt off his back” to anyone that needed it. He was a quiet, humble man and never asked for anything in return.
In addition to his wife Barb, he is survived by three children, Jacob Poole of New York, Brittany Poole of Honolulu, Hawaii and Ashley Waite of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Sean Paul, Zakkary and Miranda; three brothers, Gregory (Karen) Poole of Punxsutawney, Dennis (Donna) Poole of Big Run and Douglas Poole of Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sandra (Poole) Dees and Bonnie (Poole) Yohe.
There will be no viewing, but friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Robert Bartlebaugh.
