Robert Eugene Fisher, 79, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
He was born in Arcardia, on May 3, 1942, the son of Phyllis Marie (Powell) Fisher.
In August of 1963, he married Carol Joan Farmery. She survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Mr. Fisher was a member of the John W. Jenks Masonic Lodge # 534 and a member of the Coudersport Consistory as well.
He worked for many years as the District Superintendent of Interstate Amesite. He and his wife were also the owners of Carol and Bob’s Greenhouse in Big Run. Bob was an excellent woodworker and made many beautiful custom pieces of furniture over the years.
Bob enjoyed taking the annual fishing trip to Albion, New York with his buddies. He loved to fish and spend time relaxing and enjoying the company of friends.
He was a loving husband and father and always put others before himself.
In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by one daughter, Kristen Brooke States and husband Jon of Punxsutawney; two grandchildren, Shaylyn Agnello of Stump Creek and Robert Short of Punxsutawney; two step grandchildren, Alan States of Punxsutawney and Ashley States of Ohio; three great grandchildren Hunter, Natalee and Tanner Agnello, one step great grandchild, Ezra Sweetland; three brothers, Merle Fisher and wife Lucretia of Prince Frederick, Maryland, Ralph Fisher of West Middlesex, PA and Gerald Himes and wife Colleen Shannon of Grampian; three sisters, Phyllis Ann Carignan and husband Raymond of Lowell, Massachusetts, Lois Leasure and husband Robert of Warren and Barbara Arlene Fisher of Spokane, Washington.
He is preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, Infant Norman Fisher and Arthur Paul Fisher
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Barry Fillman.
Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
