Ricky Lynn Kuntz

Ricky Lynn Kuntz, 65, of Sykesville, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born in Punxsutawney on August 30, 1958, a son of the late Charles Guy Kuntz and Nancy Ann (Billings) Kuntz.

Rick was a Punxsutawney Area High School graduate, Class of 1976.

He was previously a self-employed HVAC and plumber.

His life was full of laughter and good times.  He lived his life like he wanted to and enjoyed being a free spirit.  He loved riding dirt bikes with his brother Jeff, going to the stock car races at Marion Center Speedway, watching Nascar on television, and taking a shot at his luck in Salamanca occasionally. 

Surviving relatives include four children, Ashley Kuntz, Samantha Kuntz, Jan Kuntz and Maxwell Kuntz, several grandchildren; two sisters, Pamela (Bobby) Smith of Virginia and Vanessa (Tom Kaizer) Kuntz of Big Run; one brother, Jeffrey Kuntz of Big Run.

Preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ricky L. Kuntz, Jr; one daughter, Lyndsay Kuntz; one sister, Val Tokash.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A memorial gathering will be held at 7 p.m. at the Crazy Horse Saloon and Grill on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
