Raymond Russell Wazelle, 83, of Knoxdale, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
He was born in Niagara Falls, New York on July 27, 1942, a son of the late Marcel Wazelle and Hilda (Lewis) Wazelle.
On October 2, 1998, he married the former Tania Lynn Smouse. She survives and resides in Knoxdale.
Mr. Wazelle was a United States Army Veteran that faithfully served his country during the Vietnam war.
Following his service, he became a welder for Miller Welding for over forty years. He took pride in his work and was a dedicated employee.
In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering around with stuff around his home and spending time with his son Raymond and wife Tania. He was a loving and caring husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Tania, son Raymond Russell Wazelle, Jr., two daughters, Michele Crissman of DuBois and Donna Pompa of Knoxdale; ten grandchildren, Ashley Wazelle, Shane Bundy, Amy Bundy, Cory Wachob, Amanda Wachob, Sonya Wazelle, Shellon Stiles, Lakea Wazelle, Tiffany Pompa and Daniel Pompa; twelve plus great grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Dorothy) Wazelle of Big Run; one sister, Connie Miller of Maryland.
Preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Vickie Bundy and Lorrie Wachob; two sisters, Mary Miller and Ruth Brown; a great grandson, Quinton Pompa.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
