Raymond Spencer Obituary

Raymond Charles Spencer, 94 of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Crystal Waters Assisted Living.

He was born on June 26, 1927 in Rossiter, PA the son of the late Guy A. Spencer and Alta (Lowmaster) Spencer.

Raymond retired from the United States Army National Guard in 1987. During his time in the guard, he received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and American Theater Ribbon.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Punxsutawney Senior Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in Ridgway.

Raymond is survived by his three children: Cheryl Dobbins of Punxsutawney, Gary Spencer and his wife Jane of New Brighton, PA and Dusty Spencer of FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Earl Spencer of Ambridge, PA and Don Spencer and his wife Shirley of Indiana, PA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Spencer and two sisters, Dorothy Stewart and Marion Reitz.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
