Raymond Daniel “Danny” Heitzenrater, age 68, passed away on December 22, 2024, peacefully at his home in Punxsutawney, PA . He was born in Punxsutawney, on October 18, 1956, the son of the late Ray and Barbara (Bell) Heitzenrater.
Danny is survived by his soulmate of 13 Years, Cindy Deyarmin and a special grandson; Kaleb Deyarmin, both of Punxsutawney, PA.
Dan worked for over thirty years as a Laborer with the Local Union 910. He was a member and trustee of Punxsutawney Moose Lodge 954. He was an avid hunter and trapper, as well as playing softball in his younger years. Danny also loved old western movies, Raider Football, and Nascar. He will be remembered as the “fun uncle”, with his warmth, and his sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to Cindy, he is survived by his daughter Amanda (Chad) Ellenberger, Youngstown, OH. Grandchildren, Alyssa (Noah) Powell, Keegan Page, Kaitlyn Page, Brookelynne Ellenberger, Kendall Ellenberger, Teagan Ellenberger, and Alexia Ellenberger. Siblings, Gary (Patty) Heitzenrater, Edith Fiore, Diane (Doug) Scott, Phil (Arlene) Heitzenrater, Robert Heitzenrater, and Kenneth (Mary) Heitzenrater. A special little buddy and great nephew Cam, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Page, one sister Carol Guigure, and a nephew Robert “Bobby Jo” Elendt. All services are private in accordance with Danny’s wishes and have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc.
A celebration of life will be held at Punxsutawney Moose Lodge 954, on December 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. for anyone to share a time of remembrance.
