Patricia Ann Parrish, 76, of Punxsutawney, died from health complications due to Covid-19.
She was born on October 15, 1944 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late William Parrish and Dorothy Elizabeth (Gaffney) Parrish.
Pat attended Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
She worked as the Head OR Nurse at Punxsutawney Area Hospital prior to her retirement in 2004.
Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed writing poetry. Some of her poetry has been published. She loved her family, fashion, shopping, traveling, and listening to country music.
She had a dear friend in her former co-worker Daryl Gray. She loved spending time with Daryl’s family and especially enjoyed Erin Gray’s dogs. Pat and Daryl enjoyed being “Foodies” before Foodie was even a thing.
She is survived by two step aunts, Helen (Bill) Latta of Punxsutawney, Janet (Tom) Kunselman of Summerville; Cousins, Tom (Nancy) Parrish of Kentucky, Tom (Debbie) Gaffney of Punxsutawney, John (Joyce) Pisarcik, Brenda Gaffney of Brookville, Kathy (Michael) Cohn of San Diego, California, Becky Kendra, Marty Kendra, Mary Jane Parrish of Erie, Susan (Greg( Lytle of San Jose, California,Paul (Anna) Schultz, Tom (Kim) Schultz and Jean Anne Schultz, all of Erie; second cousins, Johnna (Greg) Cameron, Alissa “Sis” (Curt) Aul, Amy (Jeff) Travis, Shelly (Jim) Catalano, John (Joyce) Pisarcik.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Circle Hill Cemetery.
