Patricia “Patsy” Ann Love, 88, of Reynoldsville, passed away at McKinley Health Center in Brookville on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
She was born on September 3, 1935, the only daughter of the late Florence Katherin Muth. She was born at home in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, which was the same home that she lived in her entire life.
Patricia was a 1953 graduate of Sykesville High School.
She was a member of the Paradise United Church of Christ.
On July 28, 1962, she married Robert James Love. They had nearly sixty-two years of marriage together and raised a beautiful little family.
Patsy had previously worked at Cameron Manufacturing, followed by many years of babysitting the children of friends and neighbors.
She was a founding member of the Paradise Sewing Club, she also loved to crochet, do hand quilting and making crafts. She also enjoyed bowling. She was a member of the “Pickle Club” and loved to meet with the group of women for activities and lunch. Facebook became her favorite way to keep tabs on her family and friends. She wasn’t afraid to learn new technology and became quite proficient at using it.
In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by two children, Thomas Richard Love of Reynoldsville and Mary Ann Love of Erie; and her grandcats, Allie and Oz.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Paradise United Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Barry Fillman.
Interment will follow at the Paradise Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Patsy’s memory to the Paradise United Church of Christ or the Paradise “School House” Community Building, 4225 Big Run Prescottville Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
