Norrine Lee Painter, 76, of Punxsutawney, passed away April 20, 2023, at home with her family.
She was born on November 1, 1946, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Robert and Fannie Frances (Donaldson) Affolter.
Retired, Norrine worked as a nurse’s aide, and employee at the Shoe Factory. She also was a certified Dom care provider which was a private residential personal care home certified by the Area Agency on Aging.
Norrine was a member of the Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and in her younger years bowling and traveling. She also enjoyed helping others and taking trips to Walmart to socialize with people.
But above all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was always there for them.
Norrine is survived by her son, Michael Joseph Patrick, Sr., and his wife Laura Lee of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren: Cassie Marie Peffer and husband Brett of Big Run, Michael Joseph Patrick, Jr. of Troutville, Reese Paul Patrick and his fiancé Kendra Huey Arcadia, Florida, Michael J. Patrick Jr. of Troutville, Clayton Kenneth Patrick and Kaitlyn JoLee Patrick of LaJose; 4 great grandchildren: Harmonee Elkin, Huntyr Elkin, Havanna Patrick, and Bentlea Peffer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Affolter and sister in-law Anna Marie Affolter and niece Deanna Affolter; a half-sister, Fran Beliskey and a half-brother, Eddie Rager.
In accordance with Norrine’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service. The burial will be in Pearce Cemetery.
A funeral luncheon will be held for family and friends at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Flashover Club, North Findley Street, Punxsutawney. Flowers and memorial donations may be delivered to the family at the Flashover Club.
