Michael Hetrick

Michael Aaron Hetrick, 51, of Erie, passed away at home on June 29, 2023.

He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on April 06, 1972.  He is survived by his mother Patricia Louise (Hetrick) Santos and preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sheldon Hetrick.

Mr. Hetrick served in the United States Air Force 1991 to 2003.

He was a 1990 graduate of McDowell High School and 2008 graduate of Mercyhurst University.

Michael worked as a Social worker for children.

In addition to his mother, Patricia Santos, he is survived by a sister, Marjorie Noel Sepanski and husband Christopher of Philadelphia; one brother, Gregory Scott Hetrick and wife Nicole of Cullman, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Jason Hetrick, Lauryn Hetrick, Maggie Hetrick Jackson Carroll, Christian Sepanski, Nicholas and Brandon Hetrick; as well as several aunts and cousins.

Michael is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Todd Eugene Hetrick.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Jefferson County Veteran’s Honor Guard at the American Legion Plot at Circle Hill, Punxsutawney.
