Michael David Przybrowski, 57, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
He was born in Punxsutawney on August 27, 1967, a son of the late David Martin Przybrowski and Pauline Anne (Jarbeck) Przybrowski.
Mike was a 1985 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. Serving in the Marine Corps taught him discipline and integrity that he applied to every part of his life.
Mike worked as the Facility Manager at Mulberry Square for over twenty years.
He met his childhood sweetheart and lifelong companion, Tonya Grube, when she was fourteen years old. They married when she turned sixteen and she joined him in California. Over the thirty-nine years of marriage, they grew up together, had incredible lives, endured good times and bad, and raised three handsome young sons that meant the world to them both.
Mike was a dedicated family man whose love and loyalty knew no limits. He was very involved in raising his sons. He enjoyed motorcross riding and racing with the boys. He and Tonya traveled all over to support the boys in their racing. Mike was always there to encourage them, teach them, pick them up and dust them off after a wreck. His presence was a source of strength and pride. Mike never stopped being involved. He also served as a Cub Scout Master when the boys were involved in Boy Scouts and was president of the PTO when his youngest son was in grade school. Family was the most important aspect of his life. His love for his granddaughters was immeasurable and they loved him dearly in return.
Mike was a former member of the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard. Serving fellow veterans and their families.
Mike spent countless hours making the Michael Przybrowski Memorial Sponsorship fund and the Michael/Courtney Memorial Loft a huge success.
Though he faced silent struggles, Mike was deeply loved and will be remembered for his loyalty, his passion for his family, and the countless ways he showed up for others. His loss is a heartbreaking reminder of the battles many carry inside. The family encourages conversations about mental health and support for veterans.
