Mary “Sis” Louise Timblin, 96, of Glen Campbell, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Christ the King Manor.
She was born at home in Smithport, the home she lived in for most of her life, on July 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Norris Nay Cameron and Geneva Hope (Williams) Cameron.
Mrs. Timblin was a member of the Smithport Wesleyan Methodist Church.
On December 31, 1952 she married Leroy R. Timblin. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2016.
Following the loss of her husband, she moved to Mahoning Towers in Punxsutawney. She really enjoyed living at the Towers and interacting with her neighbors.
Mary worked at the Federal Lab where she made things for World War II. She also worked at Jamesway and as a housekeeper.
She was a Pirates fan and enjoyed watching the games on television.
Survived by three children, Cynthia (Richard) Carol of Rossiter, Candice (Ernest) Gigliotti of Greensburg and Kenneth (Ruthann) Timblin of Rossiter; seven grandchildren, Hope Martin, Kylie Jones, Megan Chong, Brooke Hack, Tyler Gigliotti, Seth and Morgan Timblin; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Joann McKeever of Cleveland, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ledzel Cameron; one sister, Jane Bartlebaugh.
There will be no public visitation. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Rossiter.
