Mary Darlene White, 52, of Glen Campbell, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Forbes in Monroeville.
She was born on November 17, 1972, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Robert Lee White, Sr. and Helen Darlene (Rypczyk) White.
Although they never married, Mary enjoyed the companionship of Jeffrey Shank for over thirty-seven years. Together they raised a loving family.
Mary attended Faith Fellowship Church.
She worked as a caregiver for Accessabilities.
Mary was a devoted caregiver whose life was defined by selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own with quiet strength and unwavering love. She spent a lifetime nurturing those around her, creating a sense of peace and comfort. Her family was everything to Mary, she adored her children and grandchildren and dearly loved her brother and sisters.
She found joy in simple pleasures, swimming, riding horses, and traveling with her cousin crew.
In addition to her husband Jeff, she is survived by three daughters, Danielle Christine Shank of Glen Campbell, Ashley Nicole (Evan) Vanderhoof of Ringgold and Heather Elaine Shank of Glen Campbell; two stepsons, Michael Patterson of Hamilton and Jeremy Ferrara, Sr., of Portsmouth, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Aubrey Shank, Adrianna Vanderhoof, Owen Craig Ray Shepler, Jasmine Erdely, Dontae Main, Jeremy Ferrara, Jr., Cheyenne Ferrara and Jennifer Snyder; one brother, Robert Lee “Bob” White of Punxsutawney, Chrissy (George Shepler) White of Big Run and Stephanie (Adam) Simmers of Titusville; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Schoening, Bryana Vos and William Haag; three special aunts, Shirley Stellabuto, Debbie Kitchen and Geneva Rypczyk.
Preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Jennifer Shank; one brother, Brian White.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Cliff Vos.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Rossiter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist family with funeral expenses.
