Mary Carol Molinari

Mary Carol Molinari, 81, of Walston, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Punxsutawney on October 28, 1943, a daughter of the late Frank G. Villella and Ida Rose (Rotolo) Villella.

On February 04, 1967, she married Joseph Junior Molinari.  They enjoyed thirty-three years of marriage prior to his death on February 6, 2000.

She was member of the former Saint Anthony Catholic Church and current member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church.  She enjoyed volunteering for many different events at the church.

Mary worked as the Postmaster at the Walston Post office for twenty-eight years, where she knew everyone and greeted them with a smile and a chuckle.

She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Career Women’s Club, Red Hat Society.  Mary was nominated 2009 Woman of the Year by the Career Women’s Club.

Mary was incredibly social, she loved people and had a smile for everyone, she was fun loving and enjoyed laughing.  Always on the go, she thrived on being involved in countless activities, from community events to gatherings with family and friends.  It was tough to catch her at home because she was out making memories, lending a hand or simply enjoying life to the fullest.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph F. (Melissa) Molinari of Walston and Timothy A. (Susan) Molinari of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Levi and Lauren Molinari; one great granddaughter, Saydee Molinari; two brothers, Vincent Villella of Punxsutawney and Frank (Debbie) Villella of North Carolina.

Preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jonathan Molinari and and an infant sister, Gloria Villella.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday, at Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.

Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
