Mary R. Lewis

Mary R. Lewis, 93, formerly of Big Run, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 02, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles Sauter and Lorine A. (Picha) Sauter.

Mary worked as a bookkeeper in Detroit when she met and married the love of her life, Marvin Galen Lewis.  Marvin preceded her in death on October 17, 2009.

She and Marvin had a very happy marriage, they loved to travel and enjoyed dining out together.

Survived by nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lorine A.Tolley.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills.
