Mary Hill

Mary Jolene Hill, 63, passed away December 20, 2022 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital surrounded by family. 

 

She was born February 17, 1959 in Rochester, New York to the late Mario (Sue) Gianforte and Sandra (Louis) Harvey. She married the love of her life, James Hill, who survives on June 4th, 1977. 

 

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Nothing gave her greater joy than spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies including coloring, and watching cooking shows and life time movie network. She will be remembered for her kindness and caring heart. She loved everyone that came into her life. 

 

Mary is survived by her husband James Hill, two children: Robert “Jake” Hill and wife Elda, and Mary “Mimi” Marche; Bonus son James “Jimmy” Spiers, Bonus daughters Brandy Griffith and Missy Meyer; Grandchildren Caitlin Hill and significant other Dan Campbell, Ashlynn Bartlebaugh, Douglas Bartlebaugh, Shawn Marche, James Marche, and Broc Marche and wife Alex, bonus granddaughter Trinity Johns; Great grandchildren Calvin, Cali, and Audree Himes-Marche. Siblings Kathy Hall, Nancy “Mia” Harvey, Mario Gianforte and wife Gail, and William “Bill” Harvey. And her beloved fur babies: Max, Cricket, and Snowball. As well as numerous brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends and extended family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1-4pm at the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc in Punxsy. A funeral service will follow at 4pm with Pastor Guy Smith officiating. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mary’s memory to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc.
