Martha Ann Mumper, 93, of Punxsutawney, went to be her Lord and Savior on a beautiful Sunday Morning, December 27, 2020.
She was Born September 28, 1927 in Bell Township, (Cloe), a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Orr) Barkley.
On April, 15, 1951 she married Henry Donald Mumper. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, director of a Junior Choir and Hand Bell Choir, sang in the Chancel Choir, a Deacon and an Elder, and helped prepare Flight Bags (a church project for the hospital) over ten years.
Ann was also active in the community, she directed Girl Scout Day Camp for seven years, and served many years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and worked at Red Cross Blood Mobile.
She is survived by two children, Henry "Hank" Mumper and wife Deborah, and Myrna Jennings and husband Jeff, all of Punxsutawney; Two grandchildren, Dana Boozel and husband Adam of Mt. Union, and Jason Jennings of Hermitage; one neice and ten nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers, Jack, Harold, Robert, Donald, Edwin, Thomas and James Barkley; one sister, Helen Ruth White; and one grandson, Nate Farcus.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Shumaker Funeral Home,. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Social distancing and masks required.
Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
