Marilyn Briel Trinka, 72, of Punxsutawney, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on February 19, 1953, and she was the daughter of the late John Briel and Ruth Agnes (Jurz) Briel.
On November 14, 1981, she married Loren Michael Trinka. He survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Trinka was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brookville.
Marilyn had a brilliant mind and was an avid reader. She was happiest with a book in hand and could often be found lost in a novel.
In the kitchen, Marilyn worked magic. Her baking was amazing, and she was a wonderful cook. Her meals brought people together, not just to eat, but to laugh and enjoy one another.
She found joy in crafting beautiful blankets, quilts and embroidering.
Her dogs held a special place in her heart, especially Dolly and Harley.
Above all, Marilyn loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Her kindness, patience and generosity shaped the lives of those around her.
In addition to her husband Loren, she is survived by five children, John Beadle of Arizona, Melissa Beadle of Arizona, Laurel Trinka of California, Chris Trinka of Punxsutawney and Kathryn Trinka of Punxsutawney: one grandson, Devan Trinka of Punxsutawney.
In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
