Luther Weber Obituary

Luther Delair Weber, 84, of Reynoldsville, passed away February 21, 2023, at Penn Highlands DuBois. He was born on July 24, 1938, the son of the late Hervaughn Theodore”H.T.” Weber and Susanna Elizabeth (Pifer) Weber.  After meeting one another at a Square Dance in Ramsaytown and falling in love, he and  Anna Rose Aljoe married  on April 18, 1959. They enjoyed nearly sixty-four years of marriage.

Mr. Weber spent most of his life working as a dairy farmer at the family farm in Henderson Township.  He had also worked at Allegheny Powdered Metals in Falls Creek for a period of time.

He was a member of the Paradise Community United Church of Christ. He was a former member of the Henderson Township Grange and a proud lifelong member of the NRA.

Luther enjoyed hunting, woodworking and had the ability to build or fix anything.  He was a big John Wayne fan and liked to watch old western movies.  He looked forward to the new calves being born and watching them grow.  Every year he planted the “truck patch” size garden and enjoyed sharing it with others.

He loved to talk to people especially friends and family.  He will be remembered for being the family historian and was the one person who could tell you how everyone was related.  Spending time with his children and grandchildren was the most important thing to Luther.  If you visited him you would most likely hear him say, “Take your time leaving and hurry back.”

In addition to his wife, Anna Weber;  he is survived by three children: Lori Ann Yohe and her husband David of Reynoldsville, Valarie Sue Reinsel and her husband Robert of Valley City, North Dakota and Lane Weber and his wife Brenda of Reynoldsville; eight grandchildren: Keenan Yohe, Holli Polito and her husband Jason, Sydney Peterson and husband Casey, Cody Reinsel and his wife Jaslyn and Elliot Reinsel and his wife Holly, Erica States and her husband Alex, Quinton Weber and his wife Courtney, Paige Szewczyk and her husband Calvin; five great grandchildren: Jackson Polito, Rhyett Polito, Hattie Peterson, Nora States and Sienna Weber.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. Big Run location, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paradise United  Church of Christ.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11am at the Paradise Community United Church of Christ with Pastor Donna Jarrell and Pastor Barry Fillman officiating.

Burial will be in Paradise Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Paradise Community Building, c/o Jane Pifer, 655 Rock Dump Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851 or to the Paradise United Church of Christ.
