Loreen Marie Good

Loreen Marie Good, 86, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born in Punxsutawney on June 01, 1939, a daughter of the late Gilbert Carlson and Catherine Carlson.

On January 28, 1961, she married the love of her life, Donald Good.  They enjoyed forty-nine years of marriage prior to his death on June 24, 2010.

Lorene loved to be around people, she loved to shop, travel and take bus trips.

Her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted wife and a loving mother of her children.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Todd (Cheryl) Good of Punxsutawney and Timothy Mark (Michelle) Good of DuBois; six grandchildren, Rachel (Mike) DiGilarmo, Joshua Good, Jayme (Champayne) Good, Corey (Nicollette) Good, Aiden Good and Reese Good; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Mark (Kim) Carlson of Punxsutawney and one sister, Beverly (Richard) Hudson of DuBois.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lori Kae Good; one son, Douglas Scott Good; two sisters, Cathy Cahill and Carla Lunger.

There will be no viewing.  Arrangements under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A Celebration of Life event will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the home of Tim and Mikki Good, 216 San Andres Road, Treasure Lake, DuBois, mailing address 1851 Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA 15801.

Her ashes will be interred at the K of P Cemetery, McCalmont Twp., Jefferson County.
