Linda Patricia Defelice

Linda Patricia (Riley) Defelice, 73, of Punxsutawney, passed away after a valiant display of her fighting spirit on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Born, on October 24, 1951, to Richard and Naomi Riley in Brookville.   She would go on to graduate in 1969 from Punxsutawney Area High School.    Over time she would hold several jobs in the area and for many years could be found on the other side of the counter at Frank N’ Stein’s restaurant making pizzas.   In her later years, she served others in need as an in-home personal care assistant.

She was a collector of antiques, a lover of the Christmas season, a maker of fantastic soups, a beyond engaged QVC/HSN shopper and the best friend to many four legged and tail wagging companions over the years who all knew they would be spoiled above and beyond when at her feet.

Linda is survived by her son Eric Steele of Pittsburgh, and a stepson Will (Kerry) Defelice, and grandsons Austin (Cheyanne, Willow and Cooper) Defelice and Steve Defelice all of Punxsutawney.

She was proceeded in death by her parents.  And most recently by her husband William “Bill” Defelice, with whom she loved dearly and with who she made some of her all-time best memories with.

The family wishes to especially express their deepest gratitude and love to all her thoughtful caregivers and medical staff who over the years of her journey took such great effort with her in making her feel special, comfortable and loved.  

Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing and a future time of remembrance for family and friends will be set in late spring.

In lieu of flowers and in a tribute to her love of animals, it is requested that a gift to a local Animal Rescue organization of the donor’s choice be considered.
