Lawrence R Heffren, Jr.

Lawrence R. Heffren, Jr., 76, of Luthersburg passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at home surrounded by people who loved him.

He was born in Meadville, a son of the late Lawrence Richard Heffren, Sr. and Rita Juliana Genis.

Lawrence worked as a drill hand on the drilling rigs for many years.  He was a very talented man that could do anything from plumbing, to electrical work, to construction.  “Pap” was a very hard worker and was willing to help anyone.

His enjoyments were fishing and hunting.

Surviving relatives include four children, Lawrence “Larry” Heffren and wife Beth, Mark Heffren and fiancé Tawnya Gibas, Lisa Merritt and fiancé Dennis Anderson, Marijo Slayton and husband Brian, all of Edinboro; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Kalee Slayton; one brother, Roy Heffren of Montana; special friends with which “Pap” made his home, Terry Wayne Tipton and Sherry Lynn Tipton.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
