He was born in Punxsutawney on September 01, 1941 a son of the late William E. Fullerton and Ruth (Miller) Fullerton.
Larry Fullerton’s life was one of adventure, adversity, affection, service, and dedication. From humble beginnings in the Cloe area, Pennsylvania. Larry would know adversity as a child suffering from polio. Recovering from that illness, he grew to graduate from Punxsutawney High School with the class of 1959. He then sought additional education in the computer field at DeVry Technical Institute which lead to employment with Bell Telephone.
Larry’s adventuresome spirit drew him to leave that position, head to Canada, board passage on a cattle boat, sailed to Portugal and eventually to London, England.
After arriving in Europe, Larry enjoyed tenure as a civilian working for the US Air Force in Germany. Later returning to London, he met and married the love of his life, Shiranee Josephine who was a native of Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka.
His wife’s involvement with the film industry, brought the couple back to the United States where they settled in California.
While Shiranee pursued her dreams, Larry worked in the computer field for film and record firms as well as toy manufacturer. He concluded his working career with Union Bank of California from which he retired.
Losing Shiranee to a fatal illness in 1978, Larry opted to head home to Pennsylvania driving his trusty Chevrolet Caprice across the United States. He owned the vehicle for twenty-seven years.
Settling in Big Run, which held family memories for him. Larry contributed to the local community attending weekly dinners at the Methodist church, participating in monthly class dinners with school mates and becoming Treasure of the Big Run Historical Society.
