Kenneth Eugene Wright, 88, of Knoxdale, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.
He was born at home in Anita on November 24, 1935, a son of the late William G. Wright and Mary Frances (Ashbaugh) Wright.
On April 20, 1954, he married the love of his life, Gloria Maxine Bish. She preceded him in death on December 20, 2021. They enjoyed sixty-eight years of marriage until her sudden passing and not a day went by that he didn’t miss her dearly.
Mr. Wright worked as a self employed logger for most of his working life.
He enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his family. He found comfort in the company he shared with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was proud of his family and shared many memories that he had as a child and told stories of his son, Kenny. It never failed to hear of the many memories with every visit.
Surviving relatives include five grandchildren, Joe Clark, Jason (Jennifer) Clark, Stephanie (Jason) Neal, Heather (Rusty) Haag, Tonia (Frank)Magagnotti; Seventeen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; one brother, James (Shelly) Wright of Knoxdale.
Preceded in death by his parents, dear wife Gloria, one son, Kenneth Gary Wright and one daughter, Kathy Lee Clark; three brothers, Thomas Wright, William Wright and Donald Wright.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
His ashes will be interred at Zion Presbyterian Church, McCalmont Twp.
