Joseph Glatt Obituary

 

Joseph Francis Glatt, 71, of Punxsutawney, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at ACMH in Kittanning.

He was born in Alahambra, California on November 22, 1949, a son of the late Joseph Ralph Glatt and Mary Imogene (Schneider).

On August 9, 1980 he married the former Norma Jean Coleman.  She survives and resides in Punxsutawney.

Joe worked in machining and powdered metal for Gasbarre Products for over twenty-five years.

He was a very loving husband and father. He enjoyed his family tremendously and really liked spending time with his dog Lucy.

In his free time, he enjoyed building models and making wood crafts with his scroll saw.

In addition to his wife Norma, he is survived by three children, Joleen (Tony) Roberson of Punxsutawney, Dennis (Bethany Grasha) Glatt of Punxsutawney, and Marcie (Ben Spence) Glatt of Brookville; one grandchild, Zayden Glatt; two brothers, James (Helen) Glatt of Punxsutawney and Dave (Tina Brown) Glatt of Erin, New York; one sister, Helen (Gerald) Klingensmith of Punxsutawney.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Glatt; two sisters, Barbara Reasinger and Mary Jo Yerbe.

Services will be private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, inc., Punxsutawney.

Interment will be at Ridgemount Cemetery, Bell Township.
