John Murray Haag, 90, of Big Run, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born at home in Oliveburg on April 22, 1933, a son of the late William A. Haag and Alice (Aber) Haag.

Mr. Haag served in the United States Navy from 1954-1959.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed everyday life, gardening, watching NASCar and spending time with his family.  He looked forward to lunch with the 1951 graduation class each month.

Surviving relatives include five daughters, Wanda (Michael) Skarbek of Reynoldsville, Diana (Ernie) Painter of Punxsutawney, Pamela Ross of Big Run, Valerie (Marty) Snyder of Punxsutawney, Lisa (Larry) Ross of Big Run; five grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Nikki Aul, Chelsey Snyder, Joselyn Snyder and Andy Ross; three great grandchildren, Anson, Arden and Avery Anderson.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna; two granddaughters, Samantha Painter and Shelby Ross; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Lillian Bish; four brothers, Roy, Fred, Harvey and Robert Haag.
