Jason Allen Frampton, 50, of Punxsutawney, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Punxsutawney following a courageous battle with ALS. Though the disease may have taken his strength, it never diminished his spirit, his love, or the profound impact he had on those around him.
He was born in Brookville on March 31, 1974, a son of Maude (Shirey) Frampton and the late Carl L. Frampton.
Jason was a 1993 graduate of Jeff Tech.
On April 26, 1997, he married Tabitha Lane. They enjoyed twenty-seven years of marriage and raised a family together. He always made sure her every need and made sure that she always felt cherished and supported.
Jason was a member of the Free Grace Church in Punxsutawney.
He was a hard worker and worked as an equipment operator at Universal Well Services, until 2022, when he was no longer able to work.
Jason lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. Spending time with his kids and grandkids was his biggest enjoyment in life. He also loved to go hunting.
In addition to Tabitha, he is survived by three children, Brittany (Shane) Glatt of Punxsutawney, Brianna (Ky) Stiver of Juneau and Masie (Ryan) Brownlee of Punxsutawney; eleven grandchildren, Mercedes, Brooklynn, Bentley, Mia, Maddox, Cody Jr., Sophia, Olivia, MacKynzi, Jaysa, and Jason; one brother, Steve (Bobbi) Frampton of Punxsutawney; one sister, Dianna (Dave Bowers) Frampton of Summerville; a special niece, Heather (Joseph) Snyder of Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Carl Frampton and in-laws, Calvin and Charlotte Lane.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Bill Foster.
