Harry Hetrick Obituary

Harry B. Hetrick, 83, of Brookville, passed away August 30, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family and dogs.

He was born on September 24, 1938, in Brookville the son of the late Harry Burton Hetrick and Florence (Galbraith) Hetrick.

Harry was a very patriotic man. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 11 years.

On December 30, 1961, he married the former Roberta Marie Simpson.  It was love at first sight for the two of them.  The enjoyed sixty years of marriage.

He worked for National Fuel Gas and retired after 35 ½ years of service.

He was a kindhearted generous man.  He will be remembered for his good advice, the work ethic he taught by example and for the respect he gave and earned in return.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Roberta (Simpson) Hetrick; two daughters: Sharon Hetrick of Brookville and Susan Hetrick-Nolf and her husband Stacy; a granddaughter, Janelle Hetrick and three great grandsons: Donnie and Brodie Elder and Jayce Hawkins; and his beloved dogs: Sadie, Honda and Snow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Carrier and Alice Jean Burkett and an infant grandson, Cory Orcutt.

In accordance to his wishes will be no services.

His ashes will be interred at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Corsica.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. Punxsutawney.
