Harry Edward Cable, 87, of Rossiter, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born in Brookville on February 08, 1937, a son of the late Mayne William Cable and Margaret (Crawford) Cable.
Mr. Cable served in the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis in the early 1960’s. His experiences in the military forged a sense of resilience, duty and patriotism that he carried with him throughout his life.

After his service, Harry returned to the family timber business started by his father, Cable and Sons Logging. Under his leadership, he started his own business, C&S Logging, where he continued to work for decades in the timber industry.
He is remembered as a good father, who enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature with his family. He liked taking the kids, fishing, canoeing and going for long walks through the forest identifying the many species of trees.
Over the years, he enjoyed the company of many friends who would stop by the house to visit.
In his later years, he particularly loved his dogs, Poopie and Bug.
He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Westphal of Reynoldsville and Julie Wolf of North Ridgeville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Lauren (Ryan) Barden and Matthew Westphal; four great grandchildren, Amelia, Isabelle and Everly Barden and Brayden Westphal; three sisters, Marilyn Swab, Esther Shaffer and Karen Siple.
