Gloria Maxine Wright

Gloria Maxine Wright, 81, of Knoxdale, passed away at home on Monday, December 20, 2021.

She was born at home in Punxsutawney on February 3, 1940, a daughter of the late Gary W. Bish and Iva Irene (Martin) Bish.

On April 20, 1956, she married Kenneth Eugene Wright. She will be remembered as a loving and patient wife to her husband of sixty-five years.

Gloria worked at Rola Jensen for nearly twenty years.  She enjoyed her job and liked her co-workers.

She was always busy and previously enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, taking walks with her husband and grandchildren, canning, crocheting, reading romance novels and making Christmas fudge.

Most of all, Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, her pets and watching the birds and animals around her home.  She had a generous heart and loved donating to various organizations.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kathy Lea Clark of Knoxdale; five grandchildren, Joe Clark, Jason Clark, Stephanie Neal, Heather (Wright) Haag and Tonia Magagnotti; sixteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; two brothers Roy Bish and wife Winifred of Canastota, New York and Darrel Bish of Tifton, Georgia; three sisters, Annabelle Rhoades of Cleveland, New York, Hazel McDivitt of Reynoldsville and Colleen Bish of Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kenneth Gary Wright, whose memory will always be cherished; one sister Betty Humble.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation.  Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Her ashes will be interred at a later date at Zion Cemetery, McCalmont Township.
