Frederick John Dembosky

Frederick (“Freddie”) John Dembosky, 86, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Mulberry Square Healthcare.
He was born in Home, Pennsylvania on June 08, 1939, the son of the late Frederick Walter Dembosky and Mary (Matulas) Dembosky.

Fred graduated from Clarion State College with a degree in education. He lived most of his adult life in Punxsutawney and was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church.

Fred is survived by his cousins, Veronica Taylor, Patricia Mason, Connie Ruminski, Bill Sobieray, Veronica Domenick and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt Pauline Matulas Sobieray Fleming, and his uncles Francis Matulas, Edward Matulas and Vincent Matulas.

A private service will be held.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caring employees of Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois, the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, and Mulberry Square Healthcare.
Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s memory to Gateway Humane Society.
