Evan Scott “Dream” Weaver, 63, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
He was born in Punxsutawney on November 4, 1960, a son of the late William Raymond “Ray” Weaver and Norma Jean (Schneider) Weaver.
Evan was a 1979 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
He worked installing windows and doors for Burke & Sons for many years.
“Dream” was a creative talented artist, he loved drawing. He once had his own at a show at Penn State.
His latest creations were carving wood walking sticks. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed nature, wildlife and hunting for fossils. His heart was soft for cats and kittens, he fed and looked after many stray cats that seemed to find him.
He was a proud grandpa of his grandchildren, he loved them so much.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Natasha Vaughn and husband Timothy of Jonesboro, Georgia; four grandchildren, Taima, Xaorise, Jahdai and Ilmari; two sisters, Paula Lingenfelter of Punxsutawney, Jennifer Velando of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Michael (Rose) Weaver of Punxsutawney and Matthew (Tina) Weaver of Punxsutawney; nieces and nephews, Jodi Shaffer, Erin Myers, Kellen Harris, Courtney Neal, Whitney Vassallo, Neal, Daniel and John Weaver, Isaac and Alex Velando, and Cristina Crespo; one brother in-law John Harris.
Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Laura Harris and one nephew, Luke Lingenfelter.
There will be no visitation or viewing. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
