Douglas Alan Uplinger, 57, of Reynoldsville, passed away May 13, 2022 at his home.
He was born on June 5, 1964 in DuBois, the son of Calvin and Julia (Zellonis) Uplinger.
Retired, Doug worked for Zents Construction and Perry Drilling.
Doug enjoyed doing the barbequing at every family function and hunting with his father. His biggest enjoyment and blessing in his life was his grandson, Oakley. In his younger years he played football in high school and was a good softball player for many years. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He was an avid sport fans- you could catch him watching the Yankees and Steelers game regularly.
Doug is survived by his daughters, Megan Eberhart and her husband Adam of Punxsutawney and Stephanie Uplinger of Punxsutawney; and his grandchildren: Oakley, Maisie and Aryia; two sisters: Kim Uplinger and her long time companion, Douglas Varner of Punxsutawney and Darla Manners and her husband Joe of Reynoldsville; and five nieces and nephews: Kayla Clark, Laken Clarke, Tyler Hetrick, Jared Manners and Adam Manners.
He was preceded by his brother, Steve Uplinger.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Guy Femlee officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his brother Steve Uplinger at Centerhill Cemetery, Knoxdale.
